Silver of the Stars

3 – 6 May | The Goldsmiths’ Centre Atrium | London

Silver of the Stars is a sparkling collection of contemporary silverware created by some of the best Scottish craftsmen and women.
The collection, which was designed in collaboration with world-famous Scottish actors, writers and musicians, including Sean Connery and Ewan McGregor, has been touring for more than 10 years around the world.

The ten drinking vessels, created in response to the theme “a drink with a close friend”, make up Silver of the Stars include a vintage car-inspired whisky set for actor Robbie Coltrane; a diamond bejewelled teapot for singer Sharleen Spiteri and a rolling teapot for Billy Connelly.

The showcase collection celebrates Scotland’s international reputation for contemporary silver and design, and combines ancient techniques and craftsmanship with superb artistry and new engineering solutions.

The exhibition will take place between 3rd and 6th May 2017 in the Goldsmiths’ Centre Atrium in London, as part of Inspired 2017 and London Craft Week (3-7 May 2017).
